At Capital Region Midwifery, our stories all generate from the midwives model of care that we provide to all of our patients. We closely monitor the physical, psychological and social well-being of women throughout their childbearing years.
The stories below are a testament to the type of care that we provide.

"Thank you for all of your support throughout my pregnancy. I could not have done it without you!"
"[My son's] birthday was a profound experience for me, due, in large part, to your help and guidance."
My birth experience was everything I had hoped for and more! I chose to work with a midwife group after watching the documentary "The Business of Being Born" followed up by much research about the birthing process and more specifically what birth has become in America. I wanted what I considered to be a "normal" experience free of intervention if possible and free to be in control of my own situation as I saw fit. I switched from a traditional OBGYN practice in my 27th week
and never looked back. I even drove from 45 minutes away when there is a hospital less than 5 minutes in order to take control of the type of care I would receive. My labor was as smooth as could be and every effort was made to follow my birth plan and accommodate me the way I had wanted. Do your own research on the experience of birthing and if you decide that your preference would be a non medicated, minimal intervention birth then come to Capital Region Midwifery and you will not be disappointed!
My birth experience was everything I wanted and one of the most amazing experiences of my life. I switched to CRM after going to two OBGYN practices. The midwives actually took the time to talk with me, answer questions, and provide wonderful care. I really liked that I was treated as an individual, not a "patient", and that they viewed birth as a natural process. I was able to birth my baby boy all naturally and medication free. Pam was my midwife for labor and delivery and I really appreciated her calm demeanor and encouraging words. I am so thankful I switched to CRM!
"If you are looking for well woman care, look no further than these 3 women. I don't just say that because I have known each of them for a long time, but also because every time I see Pam I know that my time is just as important as hers and that she is going to take the time to explain things to me and answer my questions. I would recommend all my friends and family to them. I can rest assured that when I have children I will be well taken care of through my entire pregnancy!

I cannot say enough about Capital Region Midwifery and their AMAZING midwives and staff! From the first time I walked in their office I received amazing care, support, and encouragement that helped and guided me through both of my pregnancies and labor and delivery. Margaret always had words of wisdom and encouragement. She talked me through the toughest part of my labor, and the delivery of my two beautiful children. I recommend CRM to anyone who is looking to have a loving, safe, and wonderful birthing experience.
